Launching this October, there’s a whole new mid-priced range of carp rods plus, updates of existing models. Our all new '201' series replaces the ever popular Solace range of rods, a sub-£100 set of nine rods that are designed to offer carp anglers a tool for any eventuality.
Based around our ever faithful MLT (Multi Layer Technology) blanks, which provide you with ample power through the butt section of the rod meaning you can check leads further than ever before whilst still offering the forgiving tips to drastically reduce hook pulls under the rod tip! As with our other ranges we will of course be providing our stunning full cork models (C-201's) but this launch see's us giving you the 'D'! The D-201's are finished with a retro inspired EVA handle which looks stunning (especially combined with our Black Riot-S reels!) in fact we liked it so much that we will be rolling this handle option out across the existing 101, 301 and Extricator ranges so keep your beady eyes peeled for them beauties too.
To finish the rods we have kitted them out with carbon effect reel seats, black locking collars, carbon line clips and Sea Guide rings throughout - opting for the traditional 40mm butts on the lighter 2.75lb model and 50mm on the heavier test curves... Put simply they are any tackle tarts wet dream.
The 201 range starts with the 12ft 2.75lb which is perfect for smaller waters, moving up there are 3lb, 3.25lb and 3.5lb models in the same length all of which are available in cork or EVA options, we have also been inundated with requests for a 13ft model for those anglers fishing huge pits across the UK and Europe so we have introduced a D-201 13ft 3.5lb beasty which is perfect for those looking to launch a lead not only to the horizon - but past it!
